Our foundation was created to lend a helping hand, to give the warmth of human support, to help up in a rough time, to impart the “team spirit”.
For these purposes, Humanitarian Fund “Unity of Society” raises funds and material aid and invites foreign charities to cooperation. During the years of existence, the leadership managed to establish friendly relations with several foreign foundations, which have supplied humanitarian aid and medical equipment for the needs of the people under wardship of the fund: Cardio Start (USA), Orphan Grain Train (USA), Ukraine-Hilfe Lobetal (Germany) , Lebendige Hoffnung (Germany) and Caritas Odessa UGCC. The Benevolent Fund “Unity of Society” expresses great appreciation to the charitable foundations, which have responded to the call for cooperation, and hopes to keep long-term partnerships and establish successful implementation of humanitarian projects in Odessa region.
In February 2015, “Humanitarian Fund “Unity of Society”, the Odessa Regional Council, Charitable Foundation “Caritas Odessa UGCC” and public organization “Military History Center “Memory and Glory” signed a memorandum on cooperation and collaboration. The combined efforts are aimed at addressing humanitarian issues in Odessa region for the benefit of socially vulnerable groups. It is also planned to perform replenishment and update of the diagnostic and rehabilitation equipment in medical institutions of Odessa and Odessa region, those will provide quality health services to children’s homes, the disabled, low-income groups, large families, as well as migrants from the areas of ATO.
There are no small and big deeds in charity, and any contribution is truly valuable. Our Charity Foundation “Odessa and Odessiti” has already existed for more than 20 years.
The “Odessa and Odessiti” Foundation decided to join their efforts with the “Community Unity” Foundation also involved in charitable activities for many years.
The permanent effective targeted assistance has been created together with CF “The Commons Unity” in Odessa and Odessa region. The humanitarian aid is sent to vulnerable categories of the population (people with disabilities, the elderly, orphans, citizens in difficult life circumstances, etc.).
The Foundation constantly transfers humanitarian aid to medical and social institutions of Odessa region significantly improving their material and technical base (from dressing materials, care products to medical furniture and devices). The above-mentioned assistance has already been repeatedly provided to medical institutions of almost the whole Odessa region. Our constant wards of psych neurological boarding houses receive clothes, shoes, bedding, prosthetics, dishes, furniture, and so on several times a year.
The Foundation has established close ties with the religious communities in Germany receiving high-quality humanitarian shipments from them. For example, in 2021 we received six humanitarian trains for medical and social institutions in the Odessa region.
